"I know you are and I apologize for that, but I'm sure your superiors will get how something like what is chasing us right now could make short work of the quarantine that is inevitably on the city. That and the panic induced if this ended up on the ten o'clock news in every major city in the country. If not, make them see." Jack replied.

"Yeah, well to that i need to say we'll see. They'll either help me because of that or refuse to help me because of what just happened. It's an even possibility." She explained to Jack while the phone rang.
"Just hurry up!" Lisa hissed, still steering.
Christie gave a glare and then the phone call went through.
"You seem to be in some trouble Bailey." A formal voice spoke.
"Yes, Yes i am. What would i have to do in order to make a call for some aerial support with access to fire-fighting chemicals?"
"Hmm. Consider this as...'one on us', we'll discuss this further when you're out of ear range of those civilians, shall we?"
"Yes sir, Thank you sir. Coordinates are same as said before, please what is the predicted time?"
"Should arrive in 15 minutes. We already had a few prompted and ready for future situations."
"Thank you."
The phone hung up and the feeling of hate hit her hard. She felt like banging her head against the steering wheel instead raising her eyes and taking back control.
"You all owe me."

"We owe you nothing!" Adries replied back angrily, "Just get us to the damn fire depo."

"Manners Adries. She may be our enemy but she still did help us," Alan told her, readjusting himself.
"Since when did you get like this?"
"Since I found out how close I was to death."
"Whatever."

"We owe you, I admit, but whether we will repay it or not depend on how high the repayment cost is. Just remember, you saved your own ass as well, so don't think you can ask too much in return." Jack shot back simply.

"Well, we'll see won't we? Let's deal with this first and then we'll have a long friendly discussion when we're not inches away from death." She patronized, looking in the back Via the rearview mirror.
Lisa gave a glare towards her sister and looked to the side where the incinerator was starting to pick up speed again, "Speed up!"
She didn't give a reply simply speeding up again, leaving another few inches between them and the creature.

Alan and Adries were silent as they made their way over to the fire department. Alan whispered a few things to Adries, to which she replied, "I wasn't told. We'd have to go there to find out I guess."

The fire department was now visible, it's two story building dwarfed by the tv station next to it. "There doesn't seem to be too many zombies. This is good," Adries said as they drove up to it.

"Don't take this the wrong way, but I would really love to shoot you in the head right now." Jack said to Christie. He then looked to Lisa.

"Which one of you is the exception in the family, and for god sake tell me it isn't you."

"Ouch, when this is over, we definitely need to schedule that dinner date." Christie smirked, slowing only slightly as they reached the fire department.
Lisa was about to respond to Jack but she was cut off by the sharpened edge of her sister's tongue,
"Consider your answer, it's the difference between you riding shotgun and walking back to the school."
She said nothing but met Jack's eyes to express how much she wouldn't object to him shooting her.
"I suggest bailing out. If we stop it'll try to take us all out at once." Christie continued.

Adries opened up the door and got out, keeping watch of where they came from in case the Incinerator came back. "Where should we move Alan? Who's going to check out the inside of the station first?" she asked, looking at them all, "We are light on ammo and guns too. This could turn bad."

Jack smirked back silently sending the message he agreed wholeheartedly.

"Really, I was beginning to think with all this foreplay you would want to skip the date and go straight to the sex. I guess you are just an old fashioned girl after all. I shall make sure to wear my Sunday best, now if you'll just tell me whether you want a bouquet of flowers or a grenade in a box, we can plan our horrid, horrid night together." Jack quipped back just before getting out.

"I guess I'll go first, I don't even think I've fired my weapon yet." Jack said before moving to the door and heading inside with his gun at the ready, it appeared empty.

"Clear so far." Jack said.

"Surprise me. Our relationship won't work without that edge, honey." She yelled after him, now keeping at a minimal speed to work as a distraction in case it came back.

"I've got an okay amount of rounds left." Lisa stated, wielding her shotgun, while the hummer drove to the end of the street and back. After Jack said the coast was clear, she followed through after him.

"Jack, Christie. Please stop. It's freaking weird," Adries said, staying near Alan while everyone else checked out the fire department.

"Adries, stop cock-blocking people. It's just some flirtation, albeit a little weird yes," Alan told her, sitting up and keeping watch with her.

"Yes Adries, isn't it nice to know that some of us can continue to shamelessly flirt with Satan while the world is crashing around our ears. The sexual tension between me and Christie is palpable, or is that murderous tension? Damn it it is just so hard to tell, isn't it Christie?" Jack said without looking behind him as he moved through the building with the gun in the ready position.

"Hm, I might say so. We'll have to wait and see which it is though, I've got my bets of the latter though. " She answered with attitude while she stopped momentarily, bringing out a cigarette and starting to drive again.

Lisa couldn't help but laugh at them as they continued, shaking her head but keeping her eyes sharped around the darkened station. There were no signs of life or death aside from a few overturned fire extinguishers that had been knocked down by someone in a rush. She picked one up and slid it under her arm. It was a little heavy, so she set it down besides the stairs leading to the firehouse.

"So," Adries said, looking at Alan. He seemed to be doing better, but she could tell that he was only pretending to feel alright.

"Yes sis?"
"What were you talking about when you said you were immune. You said you'd continue the discussion."
"Ah, yes. Well, since no one is around. I'm immune and you know why."
"Yes, but wouldn't that make me?"
"Extremely high percentage. But, we never got around to testing you before this happened. So, you might just change if you get bit. I don't know."
"Great. Just fucking great."

"Well, let's see if we can't change that at all in the time we are together, shall we? I would hope we could have a real relationship, considering nobody here shoots you first." Jack shot back with before finding the circuit breaker.

"Now lets see if we can't get a little light going in here, shall we." Jack said as he flipped the circuit breaker and watched as the lights came on.

"There now if someone does decide to shoot Christie, they won't kill any of us accidentally in the process."

Lisa laughed again,
"Good, I don't think i've ever had to restrain myself from pulling a trigger as badly whenever she's around." She added to him, continuing to look around the room then heading downstairs.
"How long until this help arrives?" She muttered.

"I think when the team goes to the hospital if they decide to go," Adries started, sitting down next to Alan, "I think it'd be best for us to head to the summer home."
"To group up with Uncle Al?"
"Yeah. Then we'd all make our way to where the map says Aunt Julia is."
"Seems like a good idea. I know that the military run hospital would not like us."
"Not one bit. We're still wanted. So, that's our plan."
"I approve. I believe that when you mean 'us' going you mean only us. No one else?"
"It'll be hard but it'll be for the best."
"They'll probably follow or force us to take them with us."
"Well scre- Shit!" Adries yelled, seeing the Incinerator appear a block away. "PROBLEM! He's here!"

"Well, fuck." Jack said to Lisa as he got on the Walkie-talkie.

"Adries, get behind cover in the street in front of the building, we'll be out as soon as possible." He got off the walkie-talkie.

"Lisa we need to grab as many of these extinguishers as we can carry and get back to them." Jack put his AK under his arm as he picked up two fire extinguishers and immediately went outside. He heard the creature roar as he got behind a car and set the extinguishers on the ground.

She followed suit, managing to grab another two under her arms and taking cover behind a phone booth. She placed them down and looked out from cover to see it wandering along the middle of the road, snarling and vicious.

Christie had parked at the end of the road, watching the incinerator appear suddenly, She considered what she needed to do. Either charge towards it and most likely die, or wait for it to turn and try to distract it away from the others.
I really hate this guy.

Adries helped Alan get moved inside before taking up position behind a mailbox. She fired on the Incinerator, doing little but pissing it off.

"Guys, what's the plan? He's getting quite a bit close!" Adries yelled at them as she reloaded her last clip.

"I'm going to distract it while you two get close and spray its legs down. If it weakens this thing, they should make him much slower and make him a much softer target for the airdrop. Now when I run out there I want both of you to be ready." Jack waited for everyone to nod at him before popping out from behind cover and cross the street while firing at the beast."

'I hope this works.' Jack thought as he got the beast to turn its back on Lisa, Alan, and Adries.

The incinerator took notice to Jack and went towards him in blind fury from the rain of bullets that barraged it.
Lisa gave a signal to Adries and Alan to say that she was ready before slowly moving out from behind and starting to spray it's legs with the fire extinguisher.
_{Better get to sleep, damn flu. Night.}

Adries watched for her chance to hit the Incinerator, jumping out and spraying it's leg. It roared at them, turning back around. Adries kept on spraying until the extinguisher was out.

"Er...run away now?" she asked, throwing the extinguisher at the Incinerator.

Jack opened fire to get its attention back on him before saying into the Walkie-talkie.

"Alright that probably isn't going to work, stupid long shot idea. I guess all we can do is distract it until the plane comes."

She rolled back from the incinerator as it lit fireball where she had been standing. Her eyes widened looking at the burnt mark in the road, taking her shotgun from behind the phone booth. Lisa unloaded a few shells on it when she darted to a new angle closer to Jack.

"This is Helicopter Delta. We have your coordinates and are approximately 5 minutes away. Any changes to orders?"
"No changes. Get here as quickly as possible." Christie ordered.
"We're moving as fast as we can, we're trying to protect the flame retardant chemicals as well."

((Sorry guys, I'm gonna have to drop out, everytime I sign on you've gone too far ahead for me to catch up with a meaningful post D:
But seriously, you guys are awesome RPer's, keep up the good work! *salutes* and I don't mind what happens to Hayley as long as its not too nasty >_>))

"Shit," Adries said, moving back into the department garage to get Alan.

"So I assume you defeated the Incinerator?" he asked as she helped him up.
"I guess you can say that. If by 'defeat' you mean we did little damage to it then yes," she replied as she helped him move to another, safer position by the tv station.
"I see. Literally, I see that monster," Alan said, looking behind them at the Incinerator blowing up a car near Jack.

Ivan felt the wind pull at him when the Incinerator got close. "Guys, we gotta stop him soon. He's already hot enough to create a low-pressure air zone." To prove his point, he shot a bullet slightly above the Incinerator's head. It curved slightly and hit him right between the eyes.

Jack was blown onto his back by the exploding car. As he got up and ran Jack yelled.

"Ivan, nothing short of those helicopters or an act of god himself can stop it. We can only hope we survive until the helicopters get here."

Christie started to drive again, maneuvering closer to the group and the incinerator.
"We've got 5 minutes at the most!" She yelled from the window before driving back slightly.

Lisa turned to the call, still firing and dodging as best she could as the incinerator aimed at her with it's free hand, focusing mainly on Jack. Scorch marks followed in her trail.

Adries and Alan hid behind the entrance of the tv station. Both were feeling quite useless; Adries had no more ammo and Alan could do little at all but watch and run his smart mouth.

"Can we hold out for five minutes?" she asked, looking to her brother.
"Dunno."

(Hey guys I'm gonna be gone for most of the wekend, sorry :(. So anyways I'll be back on by Sunday or Monday, so just kinda keep Charles doing what he's doing)

Jack stayed behind cover as much as possible, but made sure the beast focused on him. Jack took cover by Lisa.

"Lisa, get inside the broadcasting tower and tell Adries to get a car ready for me, I won't be heading back with you guys. Tell them I intend to keep my word, and if they try to argue I want you to do whatever it takes to get her to do it. Your sister isn't to know of this." With that said he immediately bolted out from behind cover with flames hot on his heels, the beast still paying most of its attention to him.
