Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | "Tightening the muscle is bad right? I should relax them?" Alan asked, clutching the table tightly. He did his best to avoid looking at his legs, but he couldn't keep himself from the temptation. "Ew. I feel so bad for you now Lisa. I didn't know it was so....gruesome." "I'm just going to look away. La-la," Adries said, turning away. |
Master Looter Posts: 2994 Joined: 19 Sep 2009 | "If you relax them it should hurt a little less. It's not pretty, but so long as you're treated, I don't mind." Lisa muttered as she focused on applying the anti-bac to the bruised and injured legs. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | "Alright, relax," Alan muttered, lying back down and taking some deep breaths. His legs felt like they were on fire, but he bit down and took the pain. He had to. "Or else I'd be in trouble right?" |
Master Looter Posts: 2994 Joined: 19 Sep 2009 | "Well, things would be a lot worse. Trust me, relax and breathe." She replied, finishing up the left leg and moving her fringe from her eyes and reaching for the bandages. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | "Yay," Alan replied, shifting around and preparing himself for the next round. "Ew, this is quite gross," Adries said, turning around to quickly take a peek, "I can't believe you haven't been complaining about it! It looks so painful." |
Master Looter Posts: 2994 Joined: 19 Sep 2009 | The first leg was bandaged, she secured it with strong tape this time instead of a safety pin. She started on the next leg, taking care with that gash at the back. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | "Well, it is getting slightly tingly, though that could be something else. I dunno," Alan replied, sitting up and looking at his bandaged leg. "It's probably fine. Don't want you to spend all your time on my legs, you know. Heh, I'll be fine. Just try to make this last one quick please?" he asked, lying back down. |
Master Looter Posts: 2994 Joined: 19 Sep 2009 | "You've got it." She replied, picking up some pace but making sure to be thorough, in about 30 seconds she finished, securing it again and letting out a deep sigh of relief. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | "No, I think you've gotten all the bite marks and scratches taken care of. Thank you," Alan said, sitting up and looking over himself. He thanked her a few more times and made his way to his computers, sitting back down and going back to chatting with people. "What would we do without you Lisa?" Adries asked, patting Lisa on the back. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 992 Joined: 9 Apr 2008 | Jack walked into the chem room. "All of you, dinner's ready so gather everyone up so we can all eat something other than candy bars and canned potatoes." Jack joked as he walked in. "By the way, is he gonna make it doc?" |
Master Looter Posts: 2994 Joined: 19 Sep 2009 | "It was nothing." She replied to both of them, starting to clean up, before Jack entered. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 992 Joined: 9 Apr 2008 | "Well we have a simple classic that I think all of us can enjoy, pasta with meatballs in ragu. That haul contained enough for me to even add a small amount of spice to make it less bland. There is a pot and sauce pan on the stove, bowls and utensils are set in the line where you would find them in a school cafeteria. You're all on your own for drinks though, I found a crate of red and white wine, so I'll probably have a glass or two of red wine with dinner. If anyone wants to join me I plan to serve it to anyone over twenty-one anyway." Jack said |
Master Looter Posts: 2994 Joined: 19 Sep 2009 | "Ah, Three more years and i'll take you up for that drink for sure. For now i'll stick to the pasta and might scavenge myself a Sprite from somewhere. Anyone else heading down then?" Lisa asked giving a stretch. (((I'm off to bed, G'night.))) |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 992 Joined: 9 Apr 2008 | "You all should head down, I need to find everyone else and get them all fed before I get to eat myself. I'll see you down there." Jack said before turning and leaving the room. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | Adries and Alan looked at each other, telling everyone that they'd join up in a bit. Once everyone left Adries went over to Alan. "So, what's going on?" |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 992 Joined: 9 Apr 2008 | Jack had collected everyone and told them to head to the cafeteria, and once that was done he walked back up to the chem room to find Adries and Alan still there. He knew something was up with the two of them, though lately, something always was. "Alright now that they are all busy I need your help to finish what I said I would. I know you plan on doing something judging by the fact you aren't stuffing your faces although nearly everyone else is. I care what it is but I won't ask because, if I do, you'll both stonewall me anyway. All I ask is you hotwire a quiet car for myself as well so I might collect your father's body and give it a proper burial." Jack said. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | "How about no?" Alan replied back, starting to unhook all of the computer stuff that he needed. "We'll bury out father later. With the help of family in the family plot. As of now we have more important things at hand and they certainly do not include you." "Damn brother," Adries said with a shocked face, looking at Alan. She turned to Jack. "Really though. I don't think I will hot wire that car for you. Either that or I'll hot wire one car and you have to figure out which one it is. That sounds like fun." |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 992 Joined: 9 Apr 2008 | "I'm sorry, but if they nuke the city do you think there will be anything left of your father to bury. Did they find any bodies at ground zero of the atomic bomb? Those weapons wipe out everything above ground, the only way to have anything left to bury is bury him now, dig him up later, and move what's left of the body. If you don't do this for me, I will just get the keys to the hummer from Lisa, drive out, bury him, and tell the both of you to fuck off. I'm not asking I'm telling, hotwire. Me. A. Fucking. Car. I will let you stonewall me on information, but I will not allow you to keep me from giving a good man a proper burial when we have the chance." Jack was slowly becoming more and more pissed off with each word he spoke. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | "How did you even know dad was a good man? I mean, we loved the guy but he wasn't a saint," Alan laughed, turning towards Jack. They locked eyes for the moment before he turned to Adries. "Hot wire him a car." "You know," Alan started, taking off his glasses and cleaning them, "I honestly don't really care if this place gets nuked. They wouldn't do it in the first place. Maybe if this was like...ground zero. But it wasn't. Did you know that? This wasn't hit first, although yes it was one of the first." He put his glasses back on. "I'm going to tell you to back the fuck off of this because I'm getting sick of you. You annoy me with your...need to find the truth! I mean, jesus your like one of those annoyingly goodie-two shoes type heros. So, just go. Get your car and leave us be. Please?" |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 992 Joined: 9 Apr 2008 | "If this isn't ground zero, all the more reason to let the world know. I'm no saint, I now have to deal with the deaths of six men for the rest of my life because of my plan. I will never have a restful night's sleep again because of the both of you. My plan is responsible for your current state, the deaths of six pilots, and least of all my own near death experience. I'm not doing this for some noble reason, I only want no one else to deal with what I have these past few days." Jack sighed all emotion leaving his voice. "I'm honestly sick of the both of you, I'm contemplating just handing you both over to Christie so you aren't my problem anymore." Jack shifted his gun in his hands. "And if you ever decide that you can tell me what to do again, I'll fucking shoot you. You, child, are not responsible for the lives of an entire group of people. You are not a person who people follow into the depths of hell, even when said leader is just as clueless as the rest of them. You obviously don't care that six men died today because of you. You, child, are too busy covering your own ass to see the larger picture! You have much growing to do before you are in any position to be giving me orders. Stop being such a selfish, spoiled, stupid little child and maybe I will start taking your advice." Jack was practically shouting by this point. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | Alan was just about to retort when Adries walked back in, telling Jack that she hot wired one in car amongst the hundred in the parking lot. Alan smiled at Adries as he stood up. He faced Jack, "Well, we'll just leave this conversation like this. I never did like arguing. People are never willing to change their ideals and beliefs. No matter what they are told. I'll just tell you now, Jack, that while I might be a 'child' to you, I at least know my place and know what is going on." "Let's go get some food Adries," Alan told her as he walked past Adries, she giving Jack a look before following him out. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 992 Joined: 9 Apr 2008 | Jack immediately left and walked out of the school. He walked through the cars until he found one with the dashboard lights on. It took him ten minutes but he found the car. 'I think Christie and I will have a friendly little chat upon my return.' Jack thought as he pulled out of the school and started back toward the police station. He took the shortest route possible to save time. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | Alan and Adries made their way to the cafeteria, muttering about when they'd leave. "I think we'll sleep through today actually. I mean, it's barely morning," Adries told Alan, getting some nods from him as they started to prepare their dinner. "Yeah, a good night sleep will do us good. Then we sneak out at night. I like your plan," Alan replied back to her as they took a seat in a corner away from everyone else. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 992 Joined: 9 Apr 2008 | ((I'm going to do vast generalizations so I can get through this part quickly if no one else minds.)) Jack reached the police headquarters in the same time it had taken the entire group before. The building and street were just as empty as before and Jack stopped the car ,threw it into park, and immediately ran into the building. He reached the body of Adries' and Alan's father without any trouble. He placed him in the back of the car and started to head back. He arrived back at school and parked in the space he had found the car in before turning it off and moving the body that was still covered with his jacket around the school to the gravesites of the students who had died in the attack. Jack took the shovel left behind and dug a grave on the same plot as one of the students who had died. He simply placed the body on top of the coffin and buried him with dirt again. Jack recited the lord's prayer before heading back to the chem room, avoiding the cafeteria entirely. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | "Do you think we'll come back here?" Adries asked Alan as she finished up her dinner. Alan was silent, chewing his last bite of pasta. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 992 Joined: 9 Apr 2008 | Jack was calmer after having sat in the chem room for a while. He decided he wasn't going to hand them over to Christie, but he wasn't going to trust them either. They would be welcome at the school and on the team, but if they got in his way, he would kill them without a moment's hesitation. He figured it was the best way to go, they had information, but were quickly becoming a threat to the team in his eyes. Jack spoke to himself out loud. "I guess I should eat something." He got up and walked to the cafeteria. He made himself a bowl and walked back to the chem room when he saw everyone else was still there. He didn't really want to talk to anyone at this point. He ate in the chem room in silence. |
Master Looter Posts: 2994 Joined: 19 Sep 2009 | She walked into the chemistry room with very little interest, she'd grabbed a bowl of the pasta and a bottle of the White wine then went to eat alone near the stairs. She had finished the meal then hobbled to the chem room after noticing that was where 'the group' had taken to sitting. The room's the atmosphere was not relaxed when she entered. Christie gave a light smile raising the bottle. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 992 Joined: 9 Apr 2008 | "You're welcome, now if you're looking for anyone else they're in the cafeteria. I'm the only one here currently, but if you'd be so kind as to pass that bottle I'd appreciate it." Jack said. |
Master Looter Posts: 2994 Joined: 19 Sep 2009 | "Hm." She murmured a reply, It'd been a long time since she'd had wine, but still took a few steps inside and handed the bottle over to him. She leant against the desk looking around the chemical lab while she waited. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 992 Joined: 9 Apr 2008 | Jack took a swig and handed the bottle back. "Thanks it has been a long fucking day to say the least." |
Master Looter Posts: 2994 Joined: 19 Sep 2009 | She took it back and slipped it under her arm. |
Master Looter Posts: 1309 Joined: 7 Aug 2009 | Ivan leaned back and tilted his chair. he started thinking. "Bastard. He goes and says one thing, then in the very next freakin' sentence, he contradicts himself. And i don't like the fact that he believes he's the judge, jury, and executioner. I don't trust him." What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object? |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | Alan and Adries put their dishes away and started walking back to the chem room. When they saw Jack and Christie in there they paused, everyone staring at each other. 'The tension is back,' Adries thought as she and her brother sat down near the computer. "We'll probably go sleep in the library," Alan muttered to her. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 992 Joined: 9 Apr 2008 | "I'm sorry about your men Christie. I can't help but feel partially responsible considering it was my plan. I would like to discuss some business with you though." Jack said before eating some of the pasta. |

"Okay, I apologize in advance." Lisa said taking a deep breath before carefully snipping away the heavily bloodstained bandages. Her hands were steady as she reached for the cloth to clean away his wounds from the excess blood. A few of them looked deep, she tried her best to avoid touching them for the time being, but his legs still tensed.
