Dungeon Crawler Posts: 992 Joined: 9 Apr 2008 | Jack started to pour over the security tapes of the building from the last few days. Most of what he saw was them in complete lockdown up until a day ago. What he saw after that made him want to turn it off immediately. He watched as soldiers went into the building and started shooting anyone in sight. Those that weren't killed in the lobby were executed wherever they were found. Video after video from camera after camera played this scene over and over. He watched the tape from that time at Julia's office, she had written the note around the time the lobby was shot up, two minutes later a group walked in exchanged words and shot her in the head, her notebook with all her research was take when they left. 'Those sick bastards, and to think now I have to find some way to embed myself with them to get those notes.' |
Master Looter Posts: 2994 Joined: 19 Sep 2009 | She nodded to Westin and admired the work. Being the daughter of a medic, she couldn't really help herself. Christie then took the glass of scotch with a slight smile. She swirled the glass a little while speaking. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | "We are a part of a bigger...shall we say, new military faction for a new world power," Conroy said with a laugh, noting how stupid it sounded, "Basically we're going to take over. It's been a hard thing to plan out, but our real leader has been very helpful with recruiting new people and getting us closer to our goal." "Yeah, and we'll all have high new positions! It'll be great," Jacobs said, being told to calm down by Westin. "Basically. We'll start a new world order! And all thanks to the 'Bixler Virus' as we're calling it," Conroy said, pouring himself another drink. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 992 Joined: 9 Apr 2008 | Jack finished watching the tapes and copied the ones showing the military killing everyone in the building, the killing of Julia Bixler, the taking of the notes, Jack's excursions through the building, and entering this room to use the computer. Jack took the note and conversation in his pocket and place them in between two books in the nearby bookshelf. He moved that video onto the desktop as well with a word document saying readme with the message of how it was their aunt's and in code he didn't bother to decipher. He explained where he was going and why before he saved the document to the desktop and left the room with the screen turned off. Once he reached the lobby he got on the phone and called the school and used the extension to the chem room, knowing his message would leave a red blinking light. He kept the message simple. "You Aunt is dead. The military executed her and her coworkers *at this point he left the address to the laboratory* go to the top floor and go into administrator Daniels' room and turn on the computer, follow the instructions, it's from your aunt and not me." Jack hung up the phone and walked out of the building. 'Now I need to find a military base, time to head back to the police headquarters.' Jack thought as he got back in the car and turned back to where he had just come from. |
Master Looter Posts: 2994 Joined: 19 Sep 2009 | "New world order...? You know how to tempt a girl." Christie muttered handing her glass to Conroy for a refill, then crossing her legs while she considered it. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | "Heh, the way it sounds make it seem so fake and stupid," Conroy said, refilling her drink and handing it back, "Well, the power is basically going to go to the people who are working to get this idea to work. General Kaufman, the main guy behind this, has already started to put the plan together. Our force right now is small. Maybe a hundred military personnel. And, based on how much we do for the cause, we'll get more benefits." "So, right now Jacobs hasn't done much, so he won't get too much," Conroy explained with Jacobs frowning and saying he'll do more, "Basically that's what is going to happen. As of now we're heading back to the base after scouting out this town, and you'd be welcomed to join." |
Master Looter Posts: 2994 Joined: 19 Sep 2009 | Christie downed her drink again, putting her glass down before slowly standing. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | "Our main objective was to find a living Bixler," Jacobs said, being told to keep quiet again. "Well, what Jacobs here meant is that we need a living one for the blood. Oh, we've found dead ones, they're fucking everywhere with the sheer amount of 'em here. The problem is that they need to be alive. The few we've actually found went down with fights. Fucking sucks when they do that. Or when they kill themselves! That's even worse," Conroy said, telling Westin to go and find a car for Christie. Conroy wrote down the coordinates in a small notepad and gave the slip of paper to Christie. |
Master Looter Posts: 2994 Joined: 19 Sep 2009 | She shoved the slip of paper into her pocket before taking the notepad and jotting down her contact information then handing it to Conroy. While Christie couldn't stop smirking at the situation, she spoke, |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | "Yes. Arnold Bixler, Chief of Police. Killed off our other Private. Locked himself in a room and before we could get to him POW! That just pissed us off," Conroy said sullenly as Westin walked back in. "There is a jeep outside, parked on the street that has the keys in it. That'd be fine right?" he asked Christie. |
Master Looter Posts: 2994 Joined: 19 Sep 2009 | She too saluted before saying a short,"Will do." to Jacobs. She split up with them, heading towards the jeep across the street as Westin had said while they went to their own vehicle. She turned the ignition, taking off at a fast speed back to the direction they'd found her. Christie muttered under her breath with a sense of amusement. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | Alan awoke with a start, looking around the room frantically. 'This seems to be a recurring thing,' he thought, turning around and looking outside the window. It was now raining outside, the storm having woken him up. He breathed deeply, wrapping himself up in his blanket. 'Adries is still asleep in the rocking chair and Uncle Al went to bed to right? That wasn't the dream then,' he thought. He hoped that these nightmares would stop soon, at least so that he could have a peaceful night of sleep. 'Seems like it won't happen for awhile,' he thought. |
Master Looter Posts: 2994 Joined: 19 Sep 2009 | Lisa let out a small yawn as she continued sketching. She couldn't sleep, she'd rested for a few hours but she wasn't tired. Rain pelted the window giving the only sound in the room apart from her pencil jotting. She'd taken to drawing a few different things- A zombie, the incinerator, a few weapons and a few sketches of the others. It was still relaxing, but a thunderclap made her jump, jogging the line she was drawing. She turned onto the dirt road, the wind and rain picking up. She'd placed the tracker on her chair to keep an eye on where she was driving. She could feel the road becoming muddy from the weather and worried a little about the jeep. Christie changed the gear, picking up speed. She'd get what she wanted then move onto the base. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | Alan decided to get up and pace around them room. 'What is something I should do?' he thought to himself, looking at all the little knick-knacks on the dresser. He remembered where they had all come from; the little dolphin statue from when they went to the marina, the petrified wood from Yellowstone. 'Won't ever have moments like this again,' he thought with a frown. He put the little trinkets back down and went to go take a shower. |

Dungeon Crawler Posts: 992 Joined: 9 Apr 2008 | ((do the best I can. Summary numero cuatro. Jack had successfully captured Alan, who had tried to excape but failed, and interrogated him. Jack now knows that the Bixlers are the source of the virus, he released Alan and shot Christie. Alan shot Jack who then took the hummer and patched himself before going to the city and finding Alan and Adries aunt...dead. He reviewed the tapes learning it was the military who had killed her, he left the evidence on a computer and a message on the phone in the chem room for the group. Lisa, Alan, and Adries are now in Alan's uncle's cabin and hiding out for the night. I'm not sure what they plan on doing the next morning, but I know it is something. Christie has met up with a rogue element of the US military and is now working with them. She is currently on her own with a vehicle and looking for Jack.)) |

Master Looter Posts: 2994 Joined: 19 Sep 2009 | Lisa frowned at the newly ruined picture, looking for her eraser but to no avail. She listened and could hear the shower from upstairs running. Taking a sigh, she put the sketchbook on the arm of the chair, deciding to leave it for the time being. She half wished that the TV was working, so she could fill the time. She finally saw something in the horizon. It was far off but she could see it fine. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 992 Joined: 9 Apr 2008 | Jack made it back to the police station and went to the 911 call room where there was a map of the city with emergency service building marked on a map with their purpose. He knew this was used to mark what areas were safe to send callers to in the first hours of the outbreak and figured most of them would have been abandoned at this point. He started to look over the map for some kind of former military outpost, response center, or headquarters. The map covered the entire city as well as much of the surrounding area. 'This is going to take much longer than finding Julia' Jack thought as he looked at the map covered in red pins. |
Master Looter Posts: 1309 Joined: 7 Aug 2009 | "I'm fine. A little cut up, but fine." He swerved and slammed into another zombie. "Damn! Don't they have to sleep?" He saw a house as he pulled off the highway. "Hey, i think i see you guys. I'm in my truck. do i have the right place, or am i completely turned around?" Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | 'I need contacts,' Alan thought, having a hard time telling what was shampoo and conditioner, 'I hate my bad eyesight.' He finally just poured both on his head and lathered them in. Adries opened her eyes after hearing someone talking. She noticed Lisa talking in the corner. She yawned and stretched, asking what was going on. |
Master Looter Posts: 2994 Joined: 19 Sep 2009 | "Oh hey Adries, Ivan got in contact, Sorry for waking you..." Lisa replied to her apologetically then turning back to the radio, |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | "No problem. It's probably better for me to wake up anyways," Adries replied, heading into the kitchen to get a drink then coming back. "This house takes forever to get to. He probably will have to keep driving another half-hour if he is where I think he is." |
Master Looter Posts: 2994 Joined: 19 Sep 2009 | Lisa added what Adries just said to the radio, and waited for the response. She pulled the radio with her as she went back to the chair to continue drawing. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | "Meh, it was okay. It's hard to get a normal night sleep though nowadays," Adries replied, sipping her soda. "Always have nightmares. Tonight was slightly different in that it wasn't filled with zombies. Or anything worse...like teletubbies. Nope, just regular weird dream with a whole mess of symbolism probably." |
Master Looter Posts: 2994 Joined: 19 Sep 2009 | She stopped her pencil for a moment, considering the idea of zombie teletubbies, the shaking the idea away. "Oh? So, What was it like? Backward talking elves?" |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | "That would've been nice. But no...it took place in my neighborhood, kinda I mean. Everything had a weird bluish glow. And then I was walking around and their was some big eighteen-wheelers on the street. And, like a part was going on. And Kanye West was there and we had a sing off...And then it switched into some weird, Chinatown type area and I was, like a sixth grader or something and I went to school. The end," Adries recalled, looking kinda confused at her own story. "Yeah. It could've been weirder though. I've had some weird ass ones before." |
Master Looter Posts: 2994 Joined: 19 Sep 2009 | Lisa raised an eyebrow at the dream and gave a chuckle. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 958 Joined: 18 Aug 2009 | "Well, I can't sing for shit and Kanye was using Auto-tune so...you know," Adries replied back, laughing at her own dream. "At least it didn't have zombies doing thriller or anything!" she added, wiping tears from her eyes. "Phew. Ah, man. Those were some weird dreams. Anyways, I'm going to assume nothing has happened since I fell asleep. No monsters running around. No dying or anything like that?" |
Master Looter Posts: 2994 Joined: 19 Sep 2009 | After giggling a little more, Lisa gave a slightly elated answer "No, no. Alan was awake for a little while, that's about it. It feels good that for once things are calm. Even if anything showed up your Uncle would kick it's ass." |

Christie gripped her fists but remained still as Westin fixed the wound. She continued to flinch, but tried her best to recover her composure even as the needle went through her skin. She gave a short laugh.
"Well Private, I can assure you that you're better off that way. Although it may seem I'm having the time of my life. And i wouldn't call it a fight if you get backstabbed. He shot me in the middle of a key part of my mission. In fact my already significantly delayed mission has become further delayed because of him. Bastard..." She explained, doing her best to suppress her rage.
